I had to make a children's book for my class at the beginning of the year, (or did we start it last year..?) and my teacher submitted our books into a contest. It was all about equality and some such, I really cant remember the theme too well.
But yes, me and my friend made our books, and they actually got chosen out of 200 entries to be in the final 5! We were pretty surprised at that, and even more when at the 'finals' my book got second place, and my friend's got first!
I was pretty happy, since I had never won anything with my art before, (except for like, on pet sites ) and I even got sum moneyz for it too, so it's all cool eh?
I was peeved at the whole cheesiness that my teacher wanted from the story, but in the end I drew a bad-ass shark and I made the all adult audience gasp when it showed up.
